You may have heard the tale of Daniel and the lion’s den. Well, what happens when a lone female is confronted by a mountain lion while out hiking in Placerville? Kyra Kopestonsky was stalked by the furry beast for half an hour. It kept edging closer and closer to her, and at one point was no more than 8 feet away. Scared and alone, Kyra started to sing opera. Apparently the mountain lion put it’s ears down and backed away, allowing Kyra to escape to safety. I am guessing that mountain lions don’t get to hear a lot of opera in the wild!
